Brand renewals spark Ocarina of Time remake rumors
Fans began to speculate that the timeless classic The The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time could receive a Nintendo Switch port or remake.
Since Nintendo began aggressively expanding the Switch catalog, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has become a fan favorite for a possible Switch port. With the world in HD and Link smoother than ever, who could say no to a remake?
Nintendo has re-registered the brands of Ocarina of time in Australia and Europe, leaving fans to hope for a new remake or port to the current generation Nintendo Switch.
Now, it is highly unlikely that the rumors are true, and it is very possible. THE Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time will not have a remake at this time. Merely re-registering the mark in Australia and Europe does not necessarily correlate with new content – in those regions the mark simply needs to be re-registered in order to protect it.
It is very likely that this act of Nintendo was an effort to maintain the brand. If the rumors turn out to be true, of course, we’ll have one of the most anticipated renewals in video game history.
Otherwise, Zelda fans will have to wait patiently for the sequel to Wild breath, which will certainly arrive on the Nintendo Switch. So for now, wash away those rumored heartbreaks with the trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2 from E3 2019 below.
